imgresIn today’s day and age, people are coming up with technology to make things easier and easier. There are many startups trying to solve a problem or make a process more easier. Here I want to take a look at some pretty cool startup companies out there today who are striving to make traveling easier. As we all know, traveling during the holidays can be tough, exhausting, and complicated. Lets take a look at three startup’s out there today who aim to make our lives just a bit easier.

LookBooker: Ever been away or abroad for an extended period of time and need to find a hair salon or get your nails done for an important meeting or date and it’s tough to do so because you’re not familiar with where you are? LookBooker aims to help simplify the process of getting a hair or beauty appointment. The idea is to keep business travelers looking in tip top form despite being away from their home where they may normally go to look their best. It’s currently offered in Singapore and New York.

Funlidays: Funlidays is a trip planning app that allows you to plan a trip a lot easier from your phone. It makes it easy to build an itinerary to help guide you along your trip and make sure you do everything you wanted to do. You can search attractions, organize schedules, and get directions. The best part of the app is that it holds drag and drop capabilities making use of the app far easier.

Maps.Me: Maps.Me is an excellent app for those heading abroad. Ever think ahead and realize when you get to an abroad location, you will lose a lot of capabilities from your phone without wifi or don’t want to be charged extra for using data abroad? Lets face it, when you’re lost, you turn to your phones GPS to help navigate. Imagine being lost abroad and having to turn to your phone where it costs a lot more to use in many cases. Maps.Me allows you to get directions, discover points of interest, search, and bookmark locations all while being offline and not using data.

Dr. Rodriguez started her dentistry career when she accepted a position at Kennett Dental, located in Kennett Square, PA, in 2003. Her responsibilities while with Kennett Dental included working as an associate in an ultra modern private practice. During this time she was able to use an intraoral camera and dental lasers. At the same time, Marieve also worked for General Practice Residency at Christiana Care Hospital, where she was tasked to provide general dental care to medically compromised adult and young patients. Some of the practices in the hospital included advanced training in implant restorations, surgical emergencies and dental trauma procedures. In 2004, Marieve left both Kennett Dental and Christiana Care Hospital, when she accepted a new position at Family Dentistry in Middletown, Delaware and Nemours Dental Clinic in Wilmington, Delaware. There Dr. Marieve O. Rodriguez’s responsibilities included the general Private Dental care of adult, pediatric patients and practicing general dental care for elderly patients of limited income. She also worked in prosthetic, emergency, preventive and restorative care. Finally, all of Dr. Marieve Rodriguez’s hard work came to fruition, as she opened her own private dental practice, Gentle Care Dentistry, in Wilmington, Delaware in July of 2006.
